Consular Holiday Hours
The Embassy will be closed on December 24 and 25, 2007 and January 1 and 21, 2008 in observance of U.S.Holidays. The Embassy will als be closed on december 18, 2007 in observance of Niger Republic Day.
Consular operations at the US Embassy will be at a reduced level beteween December 19, 2007 and January 6, 2008.American citizens who require assisstance should telephone the consular section to make an appointment at (Country code 227) 20 72 26 61 extention 4444 or extension 4035.Those wishing an appointment may also request one by e-mailing consulateniamey@state.gov.
Normal consular operations for visia to the United States and American citizens services will resume on January 7 and will continue through January 18, 2008.Consular operations will then be at a reduced level between January 21 and January 29, 2008. During this time American citizens who require assistance should telephone the consular section to make an appointment.Normal consular operations will resume on January 30, 2007.
American citizens experiencing emergencies should call the consular section at the phone noted above. For any after-hours emergencies, please call (country code 227) 20 72 31 41 and ask to speak to the Duty Officer.
Visa services for Nigerien citizens wil also be curtailed between December 18, 2007 and January 6, 2008 and January 21 and January 29, 2009. For more information, please contactthe consular section.
