Fulbright Reception reinforces local Alumni Network

On December 13, 2007 the U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Section hosted a welcome reception for 2007-08 U.S. Fulbright researchers Alice Kang and Maggie Fick.  The U.S. visitors were greeted by former Nigerien participants in the Fulbright and Humphrey Fellowship exchange programs, who shared their experiences of their studies in the U.S.   The Nigerien alumni also took advantage of the event to re-establish and/or strengthen links among themselves and with U.S. Embassy officials, with the hope of reinvigorating program alumni activities in Niger.
