Invitation to Bid Food Services at the United States Embassy
The United States Embassy in Niamey, Niger is posting this bid request for food service management companies wishing to provide breakfast and lunch five days a week on our embassy compound.
Contract Information
The contract period will cover February 1, 2012 through July 1, 2012 in which the contract may be terminated by the US Embassy without cause. Following this 6 month trial period, the contract may be renewed on a yearly basis provided services are satisfactory as judged by the US Embassy.
The food service company will be provided with ovens, cookware, some plates and utensils by the US Embassy. All other hardware and cooking items will be provided by the contractor. All utilities and space utilization will be paid for in full by the United States Embassy.
Bid Requirements
- Meals must be prepared according to
stringent US health code standards, which will be provided. - Contractor must provide a ‘healthy’ lunchtime option (low sodium, whole wheat, vegetarian, etc)
- All menu items must be competitively priced and clearly displayed.
- Bidders should demonstrate A streamlined system to manage the customer ordering process.
- Serving staff must be proficient in both French and English

Bid Submission
Written bids must be submitted by 5:00 PM on January 3rd, 2012 to:

Bids must be sealed and must be clearly marked “Food Service BID” on the sealed envelope. Bids will be publicly opened at the United States Embassy at 9:00 AM on January 5th, 2012, read and recorded.
