Embassy Niamey reaches out to IVLP alumni

On November 29, 1007 Ambassador Bernadette Allen hosted a reception for alumni of the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) at her residence.  The invitees included all former IVLP participants from Niger dating back to 1978.  Participants included government ministers, regional and local officials, legislators, judges, and media and civil society leadership, with some traveling more than two days journey to attend the event.   

IVLP participants spoke highly of the program and shared their own positive experiences in the U.S. with their compatriots.
