Ambassador and Embassy Staff Visit Local Orphanage (27 Jun -11Jul, 2009)
Ambassador Bernadette Allen, Deputy Chief of Mission Eric Whitaker, and many other Embassy colleagues visited a local orphanage on June 27 and July 11, 2009 to share a meal, play games, and distribute tote bags, t-shirts, and soccer balls. The nearly 40 children at the CSEN (Compassion and Solidarity for Nigerien Children) enjoyed busy afternoons eating lunch, playing games, and having their faces painted. The Ambassador visits the orphanage with mission personnel about once a month.
