Ambassador Allen engages Nigerien Youth on popular TV program

On February 13, 2008, Ambassador Bernadette M. Allen was the featured guest on a special Black History Month episode of the Tante Amy Show, a popular Nigerien children’s television program.  The studio audience was comprised of children representing Niger’s broad ethnic diversity and Ambassador Allen fielded their questions on the celebration of Black History Month in the United States and the contributions of African Americans to U.S. history, culture, business, politics, and intellectual thought.

The show was broadcast on February 17 on Niger’s Dounia TV.
