U.S. Embassy continues commitment to Niger's youth

Ambassador Bernadette M. Allen presided over the U.S. Embassy’s donation of educational materials and audio-visual equipment to youth centers in the communities of Abalak, Birni M’Gauore, Falmey.  The ceremony in Abalak took place on August 2007 and the Birni M’Gaoure and Falmey donations on October 30, 2007.  The donations consisted of book sets, magazines, school supplies, televisions and DVD/VCR units.

The donation represents the U.S. Embassy’s continued commitment in support of youth education initiatives in Niger, and of the youth centers in particular, which were built in partnership with the communities with grants from the Ambassador’s Special Self-help Fund.
